Worm.io

worm.io is a no-frills take on the Slither.io formula. Your worm grows as it eats scattered food; other players are both targets and threats. Hit someone else's body with your head and you die; cut them off with yours and they die. Simple, old-school, endlessly replayable.

How to play

Steer your worm with the mouse. Hold the left button (or space) for a speed boost at the cost of some length. When a worm dies, its length turns into food exactly where it fell — so taking out a big target is the fastest way to grow.

Killing other worms

Two styles: the patient ambush (wrap your body around a smaller worm and force the crash) and the speed-boost snap (catch a boosting player and cut them off before they reach safety). Practice both; the best players mix them depending on the situation.

Tips

• Early game: just eat food, avoid any worm clearly bigger
• Don't boost when you could just eat — boosts shrink you, food grows you
• Long worms are slower in a straight line — use sharp turns to escape
• If you see a huge worm coiling, stay completely clear — they're hunting
