PaperAnimals.io takes the territory-painting formula that made Paper.io addictive and wraps it in a forest-creature skin. Pick an animal, leave a trail wherever you go, and close the loop to claim everything inside it. Trees inside your territory produce fruit you can eat to level up — higher levels unlock beefier animals with real combat presence.

How to play

Move your mouse to guide your animal. Your trail follows automatically. To capture land, draw a closed shape and return to your own territory — every tree inside becomes yours. Cut another player's trail while they're out in the open to eliminate them.

Progression

Eating fruit fills your upgrade bar. Each level unlocks a bigger animal: from mice to foxes to wolves to bears. Upgrades are the main reason to play aggressively — you need fruit, and the best trees are on the map's edges where captures are riskiest.

Tips

• Stay close to your territory early — short loops are low-risk, high-reward
• Avoid big circles across enemy turf unless you're sure no one's nearby
• A bigger animal always beats a smaller one in a trail-cut
• Watch your tail when you return — opportunists can wait inside your own loop
