Footix.io is a fast-paced multiplayer arcade soccer game in your browser — with no rules. It's highly advised to read the tutorial and create an account to keep your statistics. It's the soccer equivalent of beach volleyball: fun, fast, and low-commitment. Short matches, simple controls, easy pickup play. Not trying to be FIFA — it's trying to be the most fun arcade soccer you can load in 2 seconds.

How to play

Pick a team, run toward the ball, kick it toward the opponent's goal. Basic passes and shots use one or two buttons. The match timer decides the winner.

Controls

• Run (default right mouse button): burns your stamina. You regain it when trotting — even faster when standing still
• Pass (default left mouse button): your player keeps its bearing, so you can kick in any direction without turning. Longer hold = stronger kick
• Slide (default spacebar): stuns opponents and captures the ball. You'll slide further when running
• Chair (default spacebar with chair): an angry hooligan throws chairs onto the playfield — use them to stun enemies. Note: you move slightly slower when holding one
• Shout (default E): tell a teammate you want a pass

Stamina

Stamina management is what separates decent players from good ones. Running everywhere burns it fast, and once empty you're stuck at walking speed until it recovers. Trotting gives decent speed without emptying the bar; standing still recovers it fastest. Sprint only when you're actually gaining position, not just moving generically.

Accounts

Creating an account saves your statistics and lets you track progress over time. It's not required to play but strongly recommended — matches feel more meaningful when you can see your evolution.

Tips

• Position matters more than shot power; open lanes score more often than powered shots into a crowd
• Don't chase the ball in a pack; hang back for rebounds
• Coordinate with teammates in 2v2+ — one attacker, one defender is the baseline
• Watch goalie positioning before shooting; aim for open corners
• Slide tackles are powerful but high-risk — missing leaves you prone and out of play for a moment
