Suroi

Suroi is an open-source 2D battle royale game inspired by surviv.io (which was taken offline) and its community revival Surviv Reloaded. The core BR loop is here — drop, loot, fight, stay in the safe zone, be last standing. Being open-source means regular community-driven updates, a public changelog, and zero risk of sudden shutdown. It's a love letter to surviv fans built by people who miss the original enough to rebuild it.

How to play

Parachute onto the map. Scavenge weapons, medical items, and armor from buildings and crates. Stay inside the shrinking safe zone. Eliminate rivals until you're the last one alive. The zone punishes passive play, so eventually you have to commit to contested ground.

Seasonal events

Suroi's update cadence is fast, and seasonal modes keep the meta fresh. Recent highlights:

• Nightfall (Dec 31, 2025): New Year's Eve event with airdrops every 30 seconds
• Silver Bells (Dec 18, 2025): Winter mode returns — new Igloo structure, Icicle Bow weapon, ice physics that let you slide across rivers and ocean
• Halloween: Mansion and Park structures, ULR-338 sniper, Scythe melee, Plumpkin's Blessing perk for better loot
• Hunted mode: Decayed Bridge and Train Station structures, new TTK Esaul revolver
• Cucurbita purpureus outbreak: Deadly virus mutation affecting health and causing rapidly changing effects — new HUD bar tracks infection susceptibility

Roles and access

Certain roles may not exist on a given server's configuration — if a role you input doesn't work, that's why. Regular player access is unrestricted.

Tips

• Land in loot-dense areas but not high-contest zones like the Mansion on busy servers
• Prioritize armor and meds over trophy guns — you can't shoot dead
• Don't engage unless the trade is favorable; Suroi rewards patient BR play
• Final circle: cover and patience beat aggression almost always
• Track seasonal events for unique weapons and structures not in the base mode
