FindCat.io

FindCat.io is a charming casual game about finding cats cleverly camouflaged inside photographs. Each image hides a cat somewhere in the frame — sometimes behind a pillow, sometimes blending into a rug, sometimes in plain sight but matching the scene's colors so perfectly you scan past them five times. Click the cat to hear a satisfying meow and advance to the next photo. It's simple, addictive, and playable on any device with a mouse or touchscreen.

How to play

Look at the picture, find the hidden kitty, and click or tap on it. Wrong clicks don't punish you — there's no timer pressure or lives. Right clicks give a convincing meow of confirmation (hilarious and motivating in equal measure) and the next photo loads. You can play solo or get friends involved when a particular photo stumps you.

Difficulty

The game ships with over 600 levels. Early ones have cats in fairly obvious positions — edges of frames, behind glass, poking out from furniture. As you progress, the hiding gets devilishly subtle: only an ear visible, or a tail pattern that matches the carpet, or a cat sleeping inside laundry. Some cats are obscured by other objects in the frame, others are in plain sight camouflaging perfectly with their environment.

Why it's engaging

The no-punishment clicking means you never feel frustrated — worst case, you look harder. The meow feedback is weirdly satisfying. And every solved photo is a small "aha" moment that releases just enough dopamine to make you want the next one. It's the perfect low-stress game for 5-minute breaks.

Tips

  • Scan methodically — top to bottom, left to right, don't jump around the frame
  • Cats often hide at image edges or in small patches where color matches their fur
  • Zoom in (scroll) for detail-heavy photos — the cat is often smaller than you expect
  • Look for partial shapes — one ear, a tail tip, closed eyes — not whole cats
