Drift.io

Drift.io is a straightforward multiplayer drifting game playable in the browser. You drive a rear-wheel-drive car through winding tracks, holding tight slides through corners to rack up combo points. The cleaner your drifts, the higher your score; the longer your chain, the bigger the multiplier.

How to play

Accelerate into a corner, tap the brake to initiate a slide, and counter-steer to hold the angle as long as possible. Every tire-screech frame adds score. Touching walls or straightening out breaks your combo and resets the multiplier.

Tips

• Entry speed matters most — too slow and the car won't slide
• Flick the wheel briefly to initiate; hold it and you just understeer
• Chain corners by keeping the tail out through the straight between them
• Long clean combos beat short spectacular ones — don't try to show off
